Problem loading digimon world 3

I did a very dumb thing, i´m very clumsy and while the game was saving i pressed the escape key and closed the game. After that i tried to reload my game and it says that it can not acces the saved file.
I looked around and found that maybe i could solve this with hex editor by modifying the saved file. Is this possible? Does anyone know/have any tips on how to do so?
